21 Rooms is a suspenseful point and click adventure that pits the player against a killer in a deadly game of cat and mouse. Players must navigate through a hotel searching for food to survive for 21 days, but always they must be wary of the killer stalking them, waiting to strike.
I wanted to make a point and click adventure that was scary and had tension. I hadn't seen a lot of point and click adventure games that built tension and thought it would be a fun challenge to try to make something that could acheive that. Essentially I wanted to make a game that would cause the player to panic click while playing.
Combining different genres of gameplay together is a great way to make a unique experience. Sometimes it's good to challenge what our accept genres are and mix up the design space to see what we come up with.
